Volunteer Unit Co-ordinator

£10 - £11 per hour

In your role as Volunteer Unit Co-ordinator you will recruit, train and coach volunteer Mentors.

You will work in close association with both the Volunteer Unit Manager and our Responsible Officers.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be experienced and passionate about working with and through people. You must have a proven track record in communicating with others and have excellent organisational and administrative skills.

You will support the development, co-ordination and delivery of the volunteer unit.

This involves:

Sourcing, recruiting and training new Volunteer Mentors
Providing mentor supervision including risk management
Managing conflicting situations with individuals and in group situations
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to enable effective service delivery.
Ensuring boundaries are maintained and volunteers adhere to safe working procedures
Ensuring administrative procedures are followed and volunteer records are maintained in a timely and accurate manner.
