Tax Senior
Gravesend, Kent

Salary: £30k-£35k p.a. depending on skills and experience

Days and Hours: Monday Friday; 9am 5.30pm


Tax Senior duties Include:

Preparation of Income and Expenditure Accounts for Self-Employed individuals
Preparation of Annual Accounts for Sole-Traders and Partnerships
Preparation of Self-Assessment Tax Returns to include Land and Property Pages, Foreign, Residence & Remittance and Capital Gains Summary Pages etc.
Income Tax and CGT computations
Advising clients on their various Tax, NI and CIS liabilities and issues
The Tax Senior will attend meetings with clients to obtain the necessary information
Resolve tax queries and administer general correspondence from clients, HMRC and other external organisations
Prepare and issue quotes for new tax related services
New Tax clients set-up, on-boarding/AMLR checks on the relevant system and obtain HMRC authority to act
Issue invoices to existing clients
Assist partners, managers and colleagues with accounts/tax/administration services
Manage and supervise tax assistant
The Tax Senior will be required to undertake ad-hoc tasks

Have excellent interpersonal skills ability to build rapport effectively and professionally with colleagues, clients, and external contacts
Have excellent written communication skills when corresponding with clients and HMRC
Possess excellent time management and organisational skills so that they can prioritise and effectively manage a varied workload
Have excellent attention to detail
Be able to work as part of a team to ensure deadlines are met
Have experience of using MS Office especially Word, Excel and Outlook
Have over 5 years relevant experience
AAT/ATT/ACCA/ACA/CTA qualified
