THE ROLE

Joining a team, you will be a whole of market Trainee Advisor. We will support your training and share many years of experience to help you qualify as an Advisor.

We have our internal systems and processes, which have been developed over the years to provide excellent customer service. As a Trainee Advisor, you will take time to establish a client's needs, complete a fact find, research options and recommend solutions for mortgage and protection products. You will be liaising with current and prospective clients, solicitors, estate agents, lenders and protection providers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We value customer service and want to do right by our clients; when we contact our clients, we like to get to know them and build a relationship to provide better solutions. You will establish their mortgage and protection needs, find solutions, and present them to the client. Complete a full fact find and keep all systems up to date as you go along.

Our administrators will assist you from research to completion with administrative tasks. All team members, both Administrators and Advisors, update all systems as they go along to make sure everyone is on the same page with any client. You will be required to manage your emails and tasks on our internal system, making sure everything is progressing. Communicate with clients, lenders, solicitors, and agents in a timely and professional manner.

You will be required to keep up to date with new mortgage products and changes in regulation. Training for all staff provided for industry-relevant knowledge and compliance. We also have an internal system to help us all stay up to date. Technology is ever-evolving, and all team members will get trained on new systems and improvements.


SKILLS, COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

A good head for figures, an analytical and enquiring mind. Excellent interpersonal and team-working skills.
Have strong communication and listening skills and display outstanding customer service and people skills.
Possess a high level of customer focus and understanding of customer needs.
Reliable, professional, adaptable and highly motivated.
Ambition to succeed, challenge yourself and contribute to a positive environment.
The ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple demands on time and resources. Problem-solving skills, Attention to detail.
Previous experience of working in a team environment.
Experience in establishing and following processes and procedures.
Strong IT skills (Experience with Microsoft Office programs).
Knowledge of common mortgage products, programs and procedures.
2/3 years experience working in the Mortgage/ Protection Industry
Fully CeMap qualified or equivalent
A high level of written and spoken English. Mortgage industry experience desirable.
Experience of working with a CRM system is desirable, training will be provided for our internal system.

In return, the Mortgage & Protection Advisor can expect the following:

Salary will be dependant on industry experience. Will Start from £22,000 - £26,000. The first year OTE £28,000 dependant on being signed off. Second-year OTE £35,000. Third-year OTE £55,000.
