Finance Manager / IFRS Accountant - Part time (24 to 30 hours per week)/home based flexible working

Home based with occasional meetings with UK based clients as required and, when permitted, occasional meeting in the office which is based in Richmond (Surrey).

Following recent expansion of the business, we are looking for an experienced part time Finance Manager/IFRS Accountant to join our team either as a direct employee or on a self-employed basis.

About the role:

The successful applicant will be responsible for working with our clients to provide them with tailored accountancy duties as defined in our contract with them. These services could include:

IFRS preparation and conversion of statutory accounts
IFRS valuation and technical review expertise
Management pack preparation for presentation to the Board
Overseeing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and asset registers
Cashflow and working capital management
Design, preparation and management of consolidated business forecasts
VAT reconciliations and returns
FRS 102 statutory accounts preparation
Knowledge of US GaaP
Preparation and coordination of audit
Technical accounting support
Preparation of UK R&D tax credits

About you:

You will be an experienced Accountant, ideally trained by one of the Big 4 accounting firms (although not essential)
You will be fully qualified ACCA or ACA
You will be technically strong with IFRS / UK GAAP/FRS 102 experience
You will have at least 5 years post qualification experience in a commercial environment
You will possess the following skills and attributes:
Organised and able to hit the ground running
Flexible - able to adapt and respond to change
IT competent in the MS Office suite.
A strong team player with excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
Proven ability to see the wider strategic picture in a practical context
Creative thinker, but grounded in the delivery of business outcomes
A strategic mind balanced with an ability to focus on detailed technical accounting challenges
Confident and reliable with a very keen eye for detail.
Fluent in written and spoken English

Benefits include:

Salary ranges from £55,000 to £70,000 depending on experience - pro rata for part time
25 days holidays plus bank holidays for employees- pro rata for part time
Pension of up to 5% employer contribution (for employees)
