Do you have strong 2nd and maybe 3rd Line Support experience, predominantly with Microsoft Technologies and Networking?

An established Managed Service Provider, based in Godalming, is looking for a 2nd / 3rd Line Support Engineer to join their expanding team. You will have at least 2 to 5+ years' experience working within a 1st and 2nd Line Helpdesk / Service Desk, with excellent customer service skills.
This is a fast-paced environment supporting external customers on a range of systems - so no chance of finding yourself bored!
This role may require you to undertake site work (often in London) and service desk work (Godalming, surrey), including a rota for out of hour on-call - so you must be flexible.
As the 2nd / 3rd Line Support Engineer you will have prior experience in a similar role, such as 1st Line Engineer, Support Analyst, Helpdesk Analyst, Service Desk Analyst, on-site engineering etc.
The Role - 2nd / 3rd Line Support Engineer
You will be a senior member of the Engineering and Service Desk team, providing support to both the internal business, external clients and supporting others on our service desk.
The 2nd and 3rd Line Support Engineer will be responsible for resolving inbound tickets to the Service Desk, escalated from both 1st and 2nd Line teams when required.
You will be responding to the initial triage of incoming service calls / emails / alerts - so the ability to prioritise is key.
Liaising with external clients in resolving of issues and reporting on the ticketing system - ensuring SLAs are met.
Required Skills - 1st Line Support Analyst
As the 2nd / 3rd Line Support Engineer, you will have a very good technical knowledge in the following areas:
Microsoft OS (XP, 8, 10)
Microsoft Office (up to O365)
Good Networking skills (LAN / WAN, TCP / IP, DNS)
Active Directory (AD) administration
Security managed services
It's not a problem if you only have knowledge in some of these technical areas - there will be the opportunity to train and pick up new skills.
Within this varied role you will be supporting a range of different systems and on some of the latest platforms / versions.
A salary of up to £37k is on offer.
